JM A r c h i t e c t u r e offers the expertise to carry a project from the initial idea through to construction phase. We would love to hear from you with thoughts and ideas for your next project. The rest is on us to guide you through the process of design, documentation and construction and offer creative solutions within a high standard we set for ourselves in delivering design outcomes which we are proud of.
The overarching ethos seeks to explore an architectural language which resonates with some of the key ideologies of the practice and a goal in achieving architectural merit in every given design proposal. The creative part of the architectural process allows us to explore these ideals to produce something that is above the mere superstructure + envelope. Every project should be a direct response to the user’s needs and aspirations. Good architecture extends beyond this in an offering of an experience that is manifested through form, connection to its site, light, space and scale.
These ideals give specificity to our brand, which we deem especially important in the architectural context. Form which is contextual, of its place, and one that has a clear connection to its site is an important driving principle behind any project. Purity of form, honesty in materiality and the seamlessness with which inside connects to the outside, are all principles which underpin the architectural language we aspire to. The minimalist ideas, in practical terms, are sometimes difficult achieve to achieve, where the clean lines, elegant form and the openness of volumes and space can compete with the practical demands of the building’s pragmatic counterpart. Good architecture, however, merges these spheres together in an elegant way and dissipates any unnecessary complexity which may operate underneath the visible. We love the challenge this process brings and we enjoy the creative process of thought, analysis and articulation, that is required to achieve this.
It is this seamlessness which we aspire to, in creating experiential and elegant spaces which are equally uplifting and inspiring.
